Philosophy of Educating Children:
Recognition of the importance of the early years in the life of a child is not new. Since the time of Plato and Aristotle, a deep concern for the educational welfare of young children has been formost in the thoughts of philosophers and educators.
In evaluating the effects of early childhood programs, the crucial element among many studies is the quality of learning. Facilitating learning as a process should be emphasized. All areas of development: cognitive, physical, social, emotional, should be included to accommodate the interests and needs in a child’s diverse society.
